Was there a blow job competition in Greece or has the great news machine been taken in again?
Reuters is reporting that some place in Greece nine British women were arrested for entering in an oral sex competition. That a pretty far fetched claim especially when you take into account the reporter, Daniel Flynn, attributed with writing the story. Searching the Reuters archives for “By Daniel Flynn” site:reuters.com reveals that Mr. Flynn only reports on Africa . Furthermore the reporters the stories on Rueters have never been frivolous or titillating story.
I suspect someone hacked Mr. Flynns access to Reuters but I have no way of determining that.
At first I suspected this was a case of Reuters repeating linkbait but that doesn’t appear to be the case. I can’t find a reference to the story in blog search or news searches earlier that the Reuters article. Despite the linkbait
At any rate the story is blowing up the wires and provides a demonstration of how powerful stories like this are. Write a story with sex, some outrageous behavior and a twist of social commentary and you have all the elements of linkbait.

Having been to Zakynthos, I wouldn’t be surprised if the story was true.
