Ray Catfish Comstock posted a series of videos talking about some unique ways to use google webmaster tools for seo.
A particularly interesting point was that “top search queries” report could be used as a guide to new phrases to target. If you note that you are ranking for a term that you weren’t already targeting you can capitalize on that opportunity by focusing some effort to reinforce that position.
You could take this a one step further and combine this with automated internal linking scripts to make it painless. Having a script to down load the report and analyze for opportunities to reinforce your positions would be trivial. One problem though would be inadvertantly ranking for things that you don’t neccesarily want to be. For example you might find yourself linking to things about hot hookers or porn forums.
