Hate from the peanut gallery

Jeremy posted a rumor he heard concerning the rich jerk selling due to bankruptcy. The amount of hateful statements and Monday morning quarterbacking from a bunch of nobodies after his post really surprised me.

Is it really so hard for people to grasp the concept that a brand image is not the same thing as how someone is personally? I don’t know a thing about Kelly Felix personally but I doubt he’s the same as his companies “Rick Jerk” persona.

Then all the comments about how he failed, and what he should have done different really baffle me. Who the hell are these people? Most of them ( myself included ) would piss their pants to achieve the amount of success that guy has. If he’s gone bankrupt then thats too bad.. but he raised and spent more money then most people ever have. That experience counts for something.

At anyrate, if the rumors are true, I doubt someone like that will be down and out for long.

Yeah, the whole thing was really stupid. I mean, these are the same people complaining about not making much money in the first place. So for him to make and spend millions is frankly better than they are doing. I very much doubt that his public persona and his actual personality are anywhere near the same thing. Right up until the whole RJ thing launched, him and his girlfriend posted all the time on various webmaster sites (just look for “kellyandsummer” on most forums and you can see that they were both really nice to people.

Plus it turns out now that he’s not going bankrupt. What surprises ME the most is the fact that just because Shoemoney said that he suspected something, everyone’s running around re-stating it as fact. It looks like the business sale posting was a fake and that everyone’s getting excited for no reason.
