Long Version:
A few years ago I grew really sick of the bullshit statistics some of the keyword tools were throwing around. Things like “KEI” and estimated hit counts on Google are a bunch of crap put out there to make you feel safe. Despite what the big keyword players tell you they really haven’t got much of a clue as to what the search volume is for most terms.
I found the other keyword tool options limiting. Overture keyword suggestions homogenizes the words and screws up the order. On top of that I had to write a tool to recursively search it.. kind of a pita. The keyword suggestion tools from Google, Adcenter, and Yahoo were ( and still are ) cumbersome to use and didn’t provide enough long tail data. So I ran out of satisfying options for a keyword tool.
Frustrated I just built my own..

Theres no bs in it.. it just tells you the numbers of recorded incidences of a term. If you understand comparative analysis then you should find it a great tool. On the other hand, if think you need to know exactly how many searches are performed on Google for “web professors big brass balls” to run your PPC or content generator then you are an idiot and shouldn’t use the tool.

Just registered for your tool. Email me and let me know if you want some feedback on it. Thanks!
Thanks! I’ll give it a try right now.
I’ve been looking for a tool that will provide the “inanchor” & ‘intitle’ estimate for a large list of keywords.
I’ve been using this one, but it requires a lot of manual labor to get the numbers onto my spreadsheet.

Do you know of a better tool?
Thanks,
Dave.
Yeah it will export lists you make as csv files. I’ll be adding a way to make feature requests and provide feedback in a few days. I am looking forward to finally getting this thing used, I made it a long time ago.
When I clicked the Activation link I got an error from IE saying there was a problem with the security certificate …
I ignored it and it confirmed OK …
You might want to take a look just in case …
HTH
Cheers
Nick :)
No BS is definitely something great. However I’d love a little explanation about what is going one with the tool. When it gives me a “phrase” with a number beside it, what does the number represent?
I like the lists that I see though, very nice.
