Love It
New Tech Blog over at V7n. Love it, V7N is moving into everything. The blog is a good mix between funny and informative. Since i am a bad geek its good to have someone keep up on geek cool for me.
Click Tracks: I was going to write something that did this but after I tried the trail version there was no way could out do it. If your serious about figuring out what your users want and what they are doing this program rocks.
Gray Wolf looks at Myspace, GW has a pretty good series going on about mySpace, I enjoyed.
Mystery Sub-Domains, great post about some mystery subdomains popping up on people sites. No one seems to know how they got there but they seem to be rocking the GooG.
Leave It
Tricking Users but not owning up to it. Look I am all for optimizing my Adsense and I use all sorts of blending techniques just like the link suggests. However as much as the Adsense team pushes blending, un obtrusize, matching color schemes, or what ever euphemism they choose to use they never own up to the real answer. Make your ads look like your content to trick your users into looking at them and clicking.
MySpace, My hate for myspace can not even be described in words. Absolutely horrid site but its proof that crap can win, sometimes. We’ll see how long it lasts though. oh yeah and Plenty of Fish you can put yourself on this list too.
Unsure
SEO by the Sea, clearly written by someone who is brilliant but some days I am not really sure if its information I can use. Algo cracking just isn’t my thing i guess but I definitly will be reading it more, maybe I just don’t get it yet.
SEO Forums in general.. dunno how I feel about them anymore its been ages since I got any good advice out of them. I do enjoy helping others and the networking it provides is pretty good. Dislikes though are everyone and there brother trying various marketing ploys like 2 man tag teams and link drops.

Scott - in my opinion, it’s not the ugliness of MySpace that makes it popular. It’s the social element and targeting the right demographics - those more likely to use something like that - and most likely to get others involved - plus enabling them to do whatever they wish with their space - that’s what it’s all about. Ugliness alone wouldn’t get it that far. And love it or hate it, but it is there, at least for now, so why not use it instead of just bitching about it (consider it an invite to the MySpace SEO group) ;-)
I agree with you. I am not saying the ugliness helps it or doesn’t help it. All I am saying is I hate it because its such a piece of shit.
