Lesson Learned: Do not if at all possible ever have anything for sale on your site or have adsense or have any other item they may make you money initially.

Start your site as the confuzzeled fanboy of Green Widgets and blog, write, and blab to your hearts content for three monthes amassing enourmous amounts of content, prestige and most of all be untainted commercialism. Then ask for links. Get them then deploy your money making scheme.

Otherwise sit around and wait for links, get your link request reported as spam, etc etc etc.
